Rough Terrain Package

Prepare your envelope for flying in the desert and rocky terrain.

Why do I need it?

When operating hot-air balloons in countries such as Kenya, Turkey, or Egypt, extra equipment is necessary to keep the balloon within its operational limits.

Factors such as the frequency of flights (around 300 flights/year), intense UV light, rough take-off and landing sites, strong winds, and operation very narrowly within the flight manual’s limits put additional strain on the envelope.

What is included?

The exact package depends on the envelope model and the enviorment in which it is destined to fly.

Critical components such as pulleys, load tapes and centralizing lines are replaced with special reinforced variants.

Simply put, we reinforce all critical components to handle the increased load.
